The Machine Intelligence Group in the National Key Laboratory of Robot and Intelligent Systems was formed in 2007, working on a range of topics in Machine Intelligence and Pattern Recognition. The main current research areas of this group are imaging and processing, image/video analysis, embodied Artificial Intelligence, deep learning and their applications on autonomous robots. The group consists of 10 faculty members, 1 research assistant，21 Ph.D. candidates/students and 18 graduate students.
